How to Perfect Your Eyebrow Shape

Beautification of our bodily structures can often prove to be a tedious job as it requires the eye of the expert to judge what suits a particular face. There is as such no formula to define the beauty standards in women, as every face type, color and structure determine characteristics and designs that’ll look best. Similarly, when it comes to the most visible part of the face which attracts opinion, that is the eyes, it is important to consider various shapes for your brows, that would complement the overall eye socket and enhance your features. The shapes and styles that can be seen in women of color are being experimented with and no two pairs of brows are exactly identical. This has more to do with the fact that we like our brows a particular way.

Experimentation in India is not as prevalent since we try to maintain constant standards of beauty.
Now, given there are so many ways you can shape your brows, it often becomes overwhelming to decide one that would look the best. Your beautician might have another style in mind and your conflict may leave you unsatisfied. Therefore, it is important to understand that this job requires patience as well as a knack of anticipation for getting the perfect results afterward.

There are various magazines offering makeup tips every woman should know, but as we said, every pair of eyebrows is unique and requires effort and time to be perfected. Having said that, maintaining these brows can also prove a task sometimes. That’s why we are here to aid your problems and provide some general and some quirky tips to ensure your styling journey isn’t flawed anymore.

Before beginning on this styling journey, it is important to ask yourself some questions that will be critical to the brows you want. You have to decide whether you just want to remove the extra strands or style them into a specific shape. Many makeup and hairstyling magazines contain brochures that will assist one in deciding various styles like S-shaped, hard-angled, etc.  The most flattering style will be the one that resembles the natural structure of your brows.

1. Threading Thick Brows

For someone born with naturally thick brows, it can be a boon as well as a disaster when it comes to styling them right. One can always overdo the brow, destroying the original placement on the face. However, not giving it the right shape may lead to what is known as the ‘man brow’. Another task is to make sure to get both eyebrows near about the same in the first attempt. Since threading is a precise method of removing unwanted hair, a hair more or less can make a lot of difference.
There are many beauty tips available with DIY Threading videos to assist you in a smooth finish.

2. Threading Thin Brows

Unlike those with thick brows, thin brows often put forward a greater challenge as you need to know what you’re doing. Threading can be super easy and non-messy when it comes to giving shape to your thin brows as there isn’t a lot to experiment with initially. You can remove extras with the thread and voila! There is a perfect base to start upon. Gradually proceed on applying your products or leave it as it is if you want!

3. Using the Right Products

There is no amount of stress that can emphasize the importance of choosing the right products for your brows. Be it the pencil liners or fillers, it is imperative to research what would suit you the best. If you already have thick brows, there is no need to use fillers or tints as it will only make your brows unnaturally edge and will disrupt the natural contrast with your face. Do not overdo your brow tint and choose the nearest shade to your natural contour for thin brows.

4. Application of Products

After choosing the right products, it is necessary to know the application of these if you don’t want your brows to look chalky or pasty. One major tip includes applying these products in a flowing or flicking motion. This ensures that excess product is not applied in one place and gives a natural bounce to look as realistic as possible. Whether using a pencil or powder, one should maintain a constant angle and draw tiny strokes of hair. These help in

5. Markings for Perfect Shape

It is not possible to make the two brows look exactly the same without proper markings. It is advisable to use a light brown pencil or a thread with brown powder so that these markings can easily be smudged with the rest of your makeup. Start from the marking on the top of your arc and then come down marking the center gap and width that you want for your brows. Apply the product in the flicking motion to avoid any excess product.

6. Using Concealer Under Brows

This tip will automatically redefine your look. Applying concealer under your brow line will highlight their shape and can give it a sharper look. It looks natural but at the same time gives you an embossed look without smudging any product. It is the best way to define the style you want. Always choose one shade lighter than your skin as the same shade might not work the same. Blend it in carefully and avoid using a highlighter on the area. The highlighter is used to highlight the high points on your face while using it under your brows might not bring out the best shape required.

7. Using Brow Stencils for Definition

It may be unclear on your very first attempt regarding how you want your brows to be styled. It is difficult to determine the shape especially if your brows are thin. Therefore, using brow stencil will help you cut out the excess trouble and you can get the brows you’ve always desired! It is available in all supermarkets selling makeup and hairstyling products or even online. This will also cut the trouble of drawing different lines on both sides and not being able to maintain asymmetry. Coloring within the stencil will provide evenly shaped brows that can be styled again and again using those stencils.

8. Arch it Right!

While defining your brows and giving them an edge, it shouldn’t look like you’ve got them taped on whenever someone sees them. Your arc should be definitive but up to a point where it doesn’t look fake. A high, hard arch often gives an impression of shabbily done makeup. Therefore, one should use light pencils to mark up the angles diagonally first. Then make sure you don’t stoop down towards the eye socket to give it volume. Use brushes to comb out the hair and then go step by step. Always create the arch on top of your natural peak subtly in order to maintain a realistic look.

9. Waxing Your Brows

If you’re not someone who has a lot of hair haywire and can endure pain, this one for you. The biggest benefit of styling your brows by waxing is that it takes minimal time and effort. 5 strips and you’re done for at least 10-15 days. This is good for women who don’t want to keep seeking beauty and personal care services from their friends and just get the hair out for a long time. It is important to take care of your eyebrows and the skin after waxing though. There might be redness and bumps but the application of ice and aloe vera will soothe it in no time! Applying hot wax or cold wax is a personal choice, however, cold wax has proved less painful and mess-free.

10. Blend it like Beckham!

The most important thing to remember is that you need to tie all the efforts you put together. There is no point in giving so much attention to all the details if they don’t blend well with your overall attire or face structure. Blending is most important when it comes to eyebrows. Brushing in all the hard strokes in order to make sure there are no hard lines should be taken care of. Start with a light brow pencil and use a spoolie brush to flock out any excess product or hardness. This will tie your look together and erase the scope of error or finishing details.

There are many ways you can darken or lighten the hues of your brows to suit your ideal set. Perfect eyebrows are a personal choice! Remember to be comfortable in your own skin at the end of the day!
